
THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “MECHANICAL ENGINEERING IN THE 21st CENTURY”
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering in Niš was founded on May 18, 1960. In 1971, the Department of Mechanical Engineering grew into the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Niš. In the moment of its inception, the Faculty had 19 lecturers and 16 associates working full time, among which there were 3 PhDs and 4 MScs. 11 departments were then formed. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has since developed intensively, thus becoming one of the most renowned scientific-educational institutions in the country today. The mission of the Faculty is to organize and conduct academic and professional study programs and to develop and realize scientific and professional work in the field of engineering and technological sciences. The vision is to become a leader in the area of higher education and scientific and research work in Serbia, thus achieving recognition in the global academic environment.
Today, 94 lecturers and associates, 65 non-teaching personnel, as well as several lecturers and associates from other faculties and the economy are working on accomplishing the mission and vision of the Faculty.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, we invite you to participate in the international conference “MECHANICAL ENGINEERING IN THE 21st CENTURY” which will take place on November 25-26, 2010 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Niš.
The topics of the scientific-professional conference are:
