We invite you to participate in this year’s XVI International Scientific-expert Conference on Railway RAILCON’14 that has been traditionally organized by Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Niš, Serbia.

The Conference has the international character and the official language of communication is English.

RAILCON ’14 is an opportunity for researchers, scientists, experts, managers, political representatives, customers, suppliers and others to meet and exchange with each other opinions regarding the development of railways.

The topics that will be considered during the Conference include rolling stock, traffic, infrastructure, maintenance, informatics, economics, politics and other aspects related to Railway. Considering the interdisciplinary character of Railway techniques we expect participation of experts of different profiles.

During the Conference RAILCON ’14 a specialized exhibition and marketing presentations will be organized for potential exhibitors that want to present their products and plans to the Conference participants.

In 2014 the Serbian Railways celebrates 130 year anniversary and RAILCON ’14 is an opportunity to remind the rich history of the railways in this part of Europe.

Railway development involves accurate and fast transport of goods and passengers which is environmentally friendly, energy-efficient and cost-effective. This Conference should promote the railway which provides an effective and sustainable mobility. We are confident that this can be achieved by joint efforts of the railway industry, railway operators, developing institutes and universities.
